Welcome to Community Response to Neighbourhood Concerns (CRNC)’s first “Who’s Doing What” listing. On this page, you will find a list of activities, programs, and opportunities in the CRNC catchment area (Rideau Heights and Markers Acres communities).

Programs and services are divided into age groups** (listed below), and then categories (listed below). For programs and services that don’t have age specifications or don’t fall into a category, look under “Other”.

**Please note: Not all programs are open to the all ages in the age category. For example: Big Brothers, Big Sisters is listed under Youth (ages 13-24) however programming is only available for youth up to age 16.

    211 is a three-digit phone number that provides information and referrals to community and social services in Ontario. Available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

  • Assaulted Women’s Help Line

    Phone Number: 1-866-863-0511 or TTY: 1-866-863-7869


    Mobile: #SAFE (#7233) 


    A free, anonymous, and confidential crisis telephone line for all women in the province of Ontario who have experienced any form of abuse. The help line provides crisis counselling, safety planning, emotional support, information and referrals. The help line is available 24 hours per day, 7 days a week.

  • Child and Babytalk Phone Line

    Phone Number: 613-548-1154 OR 1-800-267-7875 ex. 1555


    Offered through KFL&A Public Health. Public health nurses answer prenatal, infant, and childcare questions, and provide resources on family health issues. The phone line is available Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm (except on statutory holidays).

  • Dial-a-Dietician

    A free line, offered through KFL&A Public Health, connecting you to a registered dietitian who can answer questions about food, nutrition, and healthy eating.

  • General Immunization Information Line

    Phone Number: 613-549-1232 or 1-800-267-7875 ex. 1451


    KFL&A Public Health staff can answer your questions about immunization, specific vaccine information, immunization records and schedules, adverse reactions to immunization, and more. Childhood immunizations can also be reported to this line to keep your child’s record up-to-date. Callers should leave the child’s name, date of birth, health card number, the vaccines given, the date given, and a phone number. Doctors do not automatically send this information to KFL&A Public Health.

  • Kid’s Help Phone

    A free, anonymous and confidential phone line offering professional counselling services for youth. Available 24 hours per day, 7 days a week.

  • Kingston Fire and Rescue

    Non-emergency Phone Number: 613-548-4001, ext. 5123 OR ext. 0 (24 hrs)


    Residents can contact this number for non-emergency issues or fire prevention questions. Remember, call 911 in the event of an emergency such as fire or other life threatening situations.

  • Kingston Police Force

     Residents can contact this number for non-emergency issues only. Remember, call 911 in the event of an emergency or life-threatening situation.

  • Mental Health and Addiction Services Crisis Line

    Phone Number: 613-544-1232 or 1-855-477-2963


    Offered by Frontenac Community Mental Health and Addiction Services (FCMHAS), the crisis line connects callers with services which provide immediate support to individuals in need. Callers can also be transferred to a FCMHAS mobile crisis worker. The line is available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.


  • Service Canada

    Service Canada allows residents to an easy way to access government programs, services and benefits (on-line, in person, or by phone). Some of the services offered include: employment insurance, Canada pension plan, old age security programs, social insurance number, passports, apprenticeship incentive grants, and more.     Driver and Vehicle Inquiries: 1-800-387-3445 


    ServiceOntario allows Ontario residents an easy way to access provincial government services. Some of the services offered include: health card registration, birth, marriage and death certificates, driver and vehicle licensing, business registration, fishing and hunting licences, address change, newborn registration, and more.
